There is no reason to be hard on yourself for excellence in your career and other relationships. Here is the question: when you feel that giving less than 100% is not adequate for you, then you may carry weights of disappointment in yourself.

There are a lot of adverse effects on your mental and physical health.
- It can give rise to self-introspection and anxiety.
- It can give rise to burnout and stress, which adversely affect the immune system.
- It is said that being hard on yourself can affect healthy relationships and make it hard on the new ones.
- When we are being hard on ourselves by focusing on mistakes rather than accomplishments.
Let go of precisionist.
The word perfectionism means having an urge to make everything to be perfect. It is a good habit when you try to do your best, but it is said that sometimes perfectionism can be harmful. It happens when you set too many high goals, are worried about little mistakes, and always think that your work is not good enough.
Show compassion to yourself:
1)Do self-compassion: Show kindness to yourself and practice self-compassion that you will to your friend.
2)Participate in meditation: Sit in some moments to be in a quiet state with all your attention on your breath and allow your thoughts to pass by. 3)Have short breaks: Take regular breaks when you require them. It means that you are stepping away for some moments from work, or it could be bearing a day off.
4)Participate in physical activity: Get involved in some physical activity, which could be yoga, running, or dancing.
5)Spend time in nature: Spend some time in nature, whether it be having a walk in the park or hiking.
